If you listen to John McCain, you will think he is a shadow president. If you listen to Fox News, you will think the world is coming to an end.

Obama’s first outing as the President of the United States, cut the Queen to size; got the Europeans saying, maybe, maybe, the Americans are back. And for the rest of the world, everyone could see there is a new kid on the block – a kid who they may consider voting for, a kid who leaders across the world fear may win election in their own countries.

In such a world, Kim Jong II did what frightened leaders all do – display his latest hardware. Others smiled when they shook Obama’s hands. And others stayed quiet, watching the turn of events.

“I’m not naïve,” President Obama said in Prague. He did not get all he wanted from Europe. No president ever gets all he wanted. He did not say let us get rid of nuclear weapons because the world is now a peaceful green paradise.

President Obama understands what the deal is. He is calm. He is calculated. He is using his cleavage to his advantage.
