There are more nut cases in Texas than in any other state in the United States.
Texas produced David Koresh of the Branch Davidian; Mark David Chapman, who murdered John Lennon; Belle Starr, a famous bandit queen; Charles ‘Tex’ Watson, a member of the Charles Manson family; John Wesley Hardin, a famous outlaw and gun fighter and so many others.
Now, you can add Rick Perry on the list.
In a warning heard all over the world, the Texas Governor, Rick Perry, threatened that the lone star state of Texas might secede from the United States.
OK, don’t laugh. This will not be the first time Texas will be seceding from the United State. When Abraham Lincoln was elected President, Texas seceded from the United States and later joined the confederates. In fact, in 2010 governorship election, Texas has Larry Kilgore, a secessionist, as a candidate for governor.
Rick Perry, the man who took over from George W. Bush as governor of Texas is very serious about seceding. He is spitting fire. Less than three months after Texas’ own George W. Bush completed the worst presidency in modern history, Perry wants to pull Houston and Dallas and Waco and San Antonio and Austin out of the United States.
Perry’s anger is that the United States is taking too much from the good people of Texas. There are too many taxes, too much federal intervention in the life of Texans and too much government expenditure borrowed in the name of Perry’s children and grandchildren. It is pissing Perry off.
Not to mention the secret plot by President Obama to take away assault weapons from Texas rangers and then free the 13 million illegal immigrants in Texas. Perry is not having any of that. If need be, he will die fighting.
It all started with a tea party organized by disgruntled conservatives across America in the name of discontented taxpayers. It provided an opportunity for those who did not like the outcome of the 2008 presidential election to wail. It didn’t matter that many who showed up at the party never paid taxes. In fact, they get an average of $2000 for filing their taxes. Still, they stormed various cities across America to complain that Obama’s administration was spending too much money. If you listen to them speak, you might think the black president just bought some gold-plated rims for his ride.
When George W. Bush was expanding the federal government in their own eyes, none of them came out to grumble. Cheered by the official conservative media outfit, the Fox News network, the tea party crowd had a chance to puff. But what a wimpy fart they squeezed out.
Yet Governor Perry got carried away. The inconsequential governor has become the General Robert E. Lee of his time.
Texas was not part of the United States at the very beginning. At several times it was controlled by countries as diverse as France and Spain. Mexico took control of Texas after the Battle of the Alamo. Before then, Texas was basically the New Hemisphere’s own Somalia of today- a land of the outlaws. It annexed itself to the United States after the Battle of San Jacinto where San Houston defeated Mexican Santa Anna and Texas declared itself independence.
If Texas should secede, Texas will have to fight its way out of the Union. Not even the dovish Obama will allow Texas to walk away without a fight.
It is good that Texas has the guns it needs to take on the rest of the United States. It has been stockpiling guns since Obama took office. It also has oil, which means that the rest of the United States will fight to keep it within the Union.
The ramification of Texas seceding is enormous. If the Dallas Cowboys leave, what happens to the National Football League? Will NFL fold up? If the Houston Rockets and the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks leave the NBA, what is left? Will they form a league of their own or will they join the Mexicans teams?
What happens if Mexico attacks Texas to regain the land they once had? Will Texas ask the rest of the United States to come and help it? Or will Texas annex itself to the United States to avoid further battle with Mexico?
I am sure Governor Perry thought this through before he made that declaration. It is all part of the grand conspiracy to turn Barack Obama into a 21st century Abraham Lincoln- the man whose election forced Texas to secede again - a man who freed the Mexicans and saved the Union.

The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans can easily be replaced by other cities seeking an NFL franchise– considering their win-loss records, it would be no great loss, anyway. So can the NBA and MLB teams.
They’ll find that they need the rest of the US more than the rest of the country needs them.

Aggressive behaviour, except in the rarest circumstances, is not acquired from life experience. It is a remnant of our evolutionary struggle to survive, a force we learn, with time and careful teaching, to master. And as if by some ideal plan, human beings are at their worst when they are at their weakest.
What is not fact here? Didn’t Texas once leave the Union? Didn’t David Koresh come from Texas? Won’t the U.S go to war if Texas should secede? What is fairy tale here? Please tell me.
