Very true, the Pope is not the wealthiest man, but the Vatican is the wealthiest city and the Church is surely quite up there or at least should be on Forbe’s wealthiest companies...

Besides, speaking for Pope Benny, the Gucci shoes, Serengeti shades, 24k gold ipod, etc were gifts...we all know it is rude to not accept gifts.

He was doing what young men his age do. He’s normal, he’s hetero, and he must have been a very dedicated person to join the priesthood in the first place.

Hopefully, he will become an Episcopalian so he can continue his good works, but also lead a normal life.

Another fabulous post! Actually, it has been said our town priest has a lady that he’s beenseeing for quite a few years. Another one recently left the Church to get married and hopefully start a family.

The celibacy ”clause” is just unnatural. Contraversy has always been around about the celibacy issue, even if Jesus himself had a child...St Jude did as did many others...Why the hell do you have to vow yourself to celibacy to worship God? Seems like a set up to fall..

No wonder there are so many predators. I say if the Church doesn’t want to change its ways and allow what is natural to take place, then go the other route and work the castration like you said. At least that way safe.

You should write to the Pope and lay it on the line: Change the rules or have all priests and himself make the ultimate sacrafice and place their ”canicas” as an offering of their faith.
